the best way to make the seatbelt chime not make noise is to wear your seatbelt. there is no valid reason for not wearing it.

While it does make good sense to wear your seat belt (plus, you can get a ticket for NOT wearing one, if you come across a bored police officer trying to meet his/her ticket writing quota for the day). There IS a inexpensive device that you can install the stop the chime and "trick" the car into thinking the belt is attached (it's a universal fit for 99% of cars/trucks...picture below): http://www.amazon.com/Gray-Silver-Safety-Buckle-Alarm/dp/B005HN5Y38/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AFDMEKAPSL95D

No, it does not help me. For all my past Toyota cars, including Highlanders, I was able to get info on how to shut the chime by using the ignition key and the trip-reset button and going through a little dance to communicate a code and shut down the sensor. I only want this because, in my long driveway, I disconnect the belt a full minute before engine shutoff.

Corindo...Sorry my solution didn't work for you...It definitely does the trick for me though :) I would strongly suggest that you locate and join an online Toyota (or Highlander) Enthusiast Forum and see your question there. Someone there may have already asked that question, so you can look up questions posted first...if you don't see anything, then post a question as you would here. Good Luck! ---------------> Here's a forum you can try: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/207-highlander-forum/

I am looking to turn off the seizure inducing beep in my new to me 2013 Highlander. I will wear my seatbelt, but I don't want it to beep!! It's so annoying!
