86 bronco ii goes in gear wont move

when i press the clutch in it goes into every gear bugt when i release the
clutch it doesnt move. ive tried pjutting it in 4 wheel drive also and nothing
moves. it just makes a clanking noise. i can also still put it in every gear
without using the clutch and still no movement

Well there would be a trany problem, or a clutch problem. Being able to sit there a put it into gear without the use of the clutch, I'm more inclined to think this is a trany problem. Never the less, either way the trany would have to come out.
