1983 bronco. Power at the batterey but nowhere else. Other night headlights kept going on and off.... Ideas ?

The ground strap that goes from the engine to the firewall is very important on these older Fords

We had the same problem with ours. Ended up taking out the ignition system and computer replacing it with a Mallory Marine ignition and putting on a holly 2bl carburetor. Haven't had any problems since then. She starts all the time, doesn't stall and leave me stranded, the lights all work when we want them too! I know this is two years later, but maybe it will save someone days of trying to figure out that it is an old system that never worked well in the first place. Now she's a badass truck and I love her!
