99 dodge durango 5.9 just changed the plugs. Calls for .40 gap they came gapped at .40 checked all before put it in. Now i hage a slight pinging/backfire when hitting the gas.. Old one were .50

Check your boots to your plug wires, that they're not pulled too far down to prevent the wire making connection to the plug and double check that there's no crossed wires.
