Loses power and stalls

Asked by Starr Sep 26, 2018 at 08:26 AM about the 2013 Ford Focus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2013 Ford focus loses power while going uphill.
Sometimes when driving on Flat Road also and
stalls at times. Could this be because it needs an
air filter?

Yes, it could be the air filter but check/replace the fuel filter too. They should be replaced before 50,000 miles. If that doesn't work, have it scanned for fault codes for free at an auto parts store. That will show if something more is going on. Good Luck.
