my check engine light just came on

I have a 2013 dodge avenger my check engine light  
came on then my lighting buld symbol came on my
check engine light want go off but the lighting bulk
symbol went off my car was sounding weird like if I
was pressing my accelerator but I wasn't.

This JUST happened to me. My ABS light came on, break light came on, seatbelt light, antiskid light and battery light. Then sounded like I put the car in neutral and accelerated but didn't move

Alternator is going out. I have a 2012 same thing happened. Within the five years I have to change it twice.
