alot of times this is due to a short in the ignition wire harness. Or if you have recently washed the car's engine bay and may have gotten water inside the fuse box.

    My 2000 Dodge Durango it shuts off and after you let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes it will turn back on and it will stay on probably for about 10 minutes and I'll shut off again.
