oil pressure drops within seconds of engine starting.

2000 dodge durango bought it an havnt been able to drive it. oil pressure gage
drops..the trick will idle but within seconds the oil pressure drops. need help
finding out why its doing this and how to fix it.

Depends upon the mileage and how worn the bearings are on then engine and the condition of the oil pump. Chrysler products had issues with oil pressure sensors as well. So, i'd start with replacing that. A high volume oil pump may help if your engine has worn bearings.
