Car won’t accelerate

Asked by CiLo90 Nov 12, 2020 at 07:58 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, and while driving on
the highway I tried accelerating and it would not go
over 40mph. The check engine light started flashing
and I tried turning my car off for a few minutes and
turning it back on but it still wouldn’t go past
40mph. Car turns on fine, no issues there. I had it
towed to my shop but just wondering if anyone has
experienced this issue and what the solution could
be.

When trying to go above 40, did the rpm almost redline? Shift solenoid may be a factor
