what does the light that comes on with a car with squiggly lines thru it mean?

That probably means your car has a traction control system. It can be on for a couple of reasons. Someplace on the drivers side might be a switch that turns the system on and off. You might need to just push that button to engage the system or disengage the system. Another possible cause would be if the traction control system is malfunctioning. Servicing by a mechanic, such as at your dealership may be required in that case.

My 2013 Hyundai elantra will not start and I have a ETP light on along with a horseshoe sign on my dashboard.
