2001 V8 dodge Dakota

I have a 2001 dodge Dakota v8 magnum, needs a
new motor, is there any other vehicles motor that I
can put in it? Besides anther 2001 dodge Dakota.

Its a 1 year model motor! The only motors compatible with the 01 Dakota is the 01 Dakota/Durango v6 or v8's. I spoke with someone about this subject when I needed a motor replacement. I was told it's due to the oil pans and intake manifolds on the vehicles! Could be more could be less, that's what I'm aware of now though. Sorry pal! Its a true drag owning the 01's!
