Fuel economy

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why is my 2013 going through so much fuel, when the dealer says nothing is wrong

Filled the tank yesterday. Have gone 47km and burned a quarter of a tank. Not a "leadfooter" . Told the dealer I could smell fuel quite often as well.

How many miles/km per gallon? What type of driving do you do? City, Highway, idling a lot?

To and from work 22km return (1 trip) city-hwy combined. No Idling (gas is too expensive). This car is supposed to get between 21mpg to 28mpg (24 average) In the passed I have seen 8.6L/100km(hwy) and as low as 15.3L/100km city. it is now getting about 7.63MPG and have seen the computer calculate an average of up to 45.7L/100km. The dealer has to be nuts saying nothing is wrong.
