Mirror Swap in new Honda

Asked by roadrager1 Aug 04, 2014 at 01:35 PM about the 2013 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 with Nav

Question type: Car Customization

Own a 2013 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L with LDW and front crash assist.  During the purchase of the vehicle, I noticed it does not have an auto-dimming mirror.  I want to swap out the current mirror for one tha does auto-dim.  Can this be performed or will it destroy the LDW and other safety features alongside the mirror?

I recently purchased a 2015 Honda Accord V-6 that includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror. I hate it. Its way too dark and you can't adjust it or selectively turn it on or off. Too dark means no depth perception and even worse is the cognitive dissonance from glancing to and from the side mirror.
