Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Ford F150. The AC pressure sensor
is bad making me think it has too much head
pressure. The dealership is telling me they have to
evacuate the system to replace this I am looking
in my Chilton book and online it looks like this
should unthread and it's on a shrader valve. Are
these hard to get off or can I damage the system?

Go ahead and take it off and when you mess it up, take it to the dealership to get it properly repaired. A/C work is always best done by a professional.

Thanks Bob, I do work with HVAC, so I know what I'm doing somewhat, but thanks for your non- informative response
