Is there a manual rear hatch opener when electric goes

Electric motor failed.  Where is manual opener?

How do I LOCK the rear Hatch and my 2009 Jeep Patriot? I can't lock it with my keys or manually. There has to be a lock or a place to be able to access it manually but I can't find it.
