After accident, Benz C250 turns on but wont drive.

Hi. My 2012 Benz C250 just got into an accident. The car still turns on and I am able to shift to drive. But when i step on the pedal the car will not move nor reverse. What could possibly be wrong? Transmission? Please help.

The linkage to the transmission probably came off the shifter
