Do you have a second key to try? Is your lock stuck? has a foreign substance been put in the lock, ie: sand, glue, toothpick, etc? A number of things can screw up a door lock. What about your touch pad... does it open the doors and tailgate?

Think about it Karmon, he said "key" not "remote".If he would have said remote didn't work, you would have been right most likely. It is possible that he didn't know the difference and meant remote. I have seen worse here.

Yes I did mean my "remote key" - It still opens the hatch when I press that button or the alarm button but when I press the button to open or try to unlock the door it will not work.

OK, You have to ask the right question to get the right answer. It is possible the battery. I would try that first as it is cheap. Also, you may just need to reprogram the remotes. Worse case would be replace the remote as old remote buttons might not be making contact. That is very doubtful for a 4-5 year old remote. Probably just a battery. Auto Zone, Walmart, Drug stores, etc all sell them.
