Why does the clock on my 2004 Expedition w/ nav system not stay set?

2004 Eddie Bauer Ford Expedition with (CD) Navigation system (sucks)!
I replaced the battery and now it just says to wait before setting as if its trying to
acquire a signal, but it never changes or updates. when I input actual time it will not
stay. So clock in system always just shows --:-- never the time?
I'm sure Ford will try to sell me new CD's or something but not spending another dime
on that outdated system.

Job71, did you ever solve this issue? I have the same problem with my 03 expedition.

Same problem with my 2004 Exp. but it just happened after I had a tuneup. No problem prior to that.
