Asked by jofayehamm Jan 12, 2016 at 03:34 PM about the 2012 Honda Accord EX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have noticed the last few oil changes have had to be before the normal mileage span. This last one was just little over two weeks and the dip stick showed almost no oil today. What should I check?

Both the Lucas Oil additive and changing the PCV are great suggestions for reg maintenance, but you should also add a good fuel system cleaner to the fuel tank and also spray the intake manifold and TB with a good cleaner while keeping it running. If none of these stop your oil burning, you should have the engine pressure tested for worn rings & pistons and/or have the valve stem seals replaced.
