Thank you for your answers. The best way I can describe the smell is very strong, like if you have turned on the oven but it didn't light. When it 1st happen my mechanics replaced the tires, break pads & rotors. But the popping and smell is still happening just not as much. 1st the smell then the popping happens after I turn. No the check engine light isn't on. I think because it doesn't happen all the time, my mechanic isn't clear on what is going on.

My 2019 Santa Fe is great and my 3rd Santa Fe. Only problem is the terrible smell from the vents. Checked to see if a rodent made its home in the engine compartment. Not a rodent. Any suggestions.

Did you find the answer?? My car is doing the exact same thing! Strong propane smell and feels like the rear end is going to fall out! Lots of “popping”
