I recently changed the spark plugs and wires in my 2005 hyundai santa fe and it is not running well i.e. missing, popping. Is there a sensor that I could have knocked loose?

I was really careful about not mixing up the wires and plugging in all the hoses and electrical clips. I hear a little buzz from the engine once I've stopped trying to start the car. I can get the engine to run if I really pump on the accelerator but it won't idle.

could be many things but first place to start is get a firing order chart with diagram as to where plug wires go and double check that then you may want to start looking into do the wires all have good connection at both ends. then start looking into weather the coil(s) are producing proper spark and you should find your issue there and shouldnt cost you anything to figure out you can either try to google firing order or you can have the parts store get it for you.

goodnite i have changed my piston in my 2005 hyundai santefe but the piston is hitting into the spark plug and now spark plug break inside the head

ok, hello and thanks in advance for the help ... i have a Hyundai santa fe 2006, this is my story... i was out with the car and in a flash the car stop runing, and would not start again. I took it home with the help of a friend and began to try diagnose the problem because the check engine light was on... another friend came with a scanner and the code that came out of the pcm or icu told us that the problem was in the ride by wire system. I replace de system (pedal and servo unit in the intake manifold) pass the ignition switch, the check light went of... I try to start the car and the starter work fine but the car would not start! I began checking out the fuel pimp, and works fine; then I check the coil sparks and notice that in 3 easy ones to check front coils there is not spark whatsoever ... I try again to scan the car in the event that maybe another part or sensor was faulty, but the scanner says everything is fine! So, can anyone help me? Giovanni 1 Answer

I have a 2008 hyundai santa fe gls 4dr. I originally had a problem with the car starting in park, which at first i thought was the battery as it was still factory. I changed the battery and realized it was not the problem as the car elctronics worked flawless but there was not sound of turn over or clicking just nothing. I soon discovered the car would crank and run as expected when shift release was pressed and the car was put into neutral. I diagnosed it as a neutral safety switch but after driving i realized the car will shift into the park position but it is not recognized by the vehicle and the car easily rolls as if in neutral and makes a clicking sound every few inches(maybe centimeter, a very short distance). so in short my vehicle starts in neutral, rolls in park while clicking, all other gears work fine from what i can tell. Im stumped. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Will the parking pawl affect my ability to crank the car in park? 3 Answers
