Two different Honda Service Centers tell me for a Maintenance #4 , I should ... (A). The #4 minder code is valve adjustment with spark plugs and timing belt package. It breaks down to valve / spark plugs which is a 3 hour estimate for $758.00 (platinum plugs are $20.00 each x 6). The timing belt package includes Belt / drive belt/ water pump / tensioner/ cam seals / crank seals for an estimate of $1,100.00. We would need the car all day. The other says .... (B). Maintenance #4 requires us to adjust valves and replace spark plugs . We also replace your drive belt. Needs vehicle to be cold to start so, mostly all day. Rough estimate : $750 So, I’m confused! This vehicle is supposed to have a timing chain according to the crack case layout on the engine front. Then , is there something different/ alike when we talk about “timing belts” vs “drive belts” ? There is quite a price difference in these estimates so, I don’t want to miss something .
