Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1984 BMW 318i 1.8l m10 sohc, I found a couple of turbo kits that fit this specific vehicle, was wondering before I throw this in to play what other upgrades do I need to throw on this car, before I put in the turbo so no damage to the engine will occur. Ive seen plenty of these 318i turbos on youtube and it says a lot of them are stock w/ turbo???

To do it right you should do cold air induction. Up grade the injectors, exhaust system, radiator, tires, brakes, get the ECU reprogrammed, roll bar, 5 point safty harness, proper set of gages, oil pump little things like that so you can get to use all the boost your making.

Port and polish the head, new upgraded valves, engine bearings. Ahhh what the hell and get a high amp alternator.
