Can I replace stock tire 245 70/17 with 265 65/17?

245/70/17 has a diameter of 30.5" and 265/65/17 diameter of 30.56 virtually no difference in overall height of wheel and tire. Just 20mm wider, about ¾". I see no problem

Dealership didn't recommend it and said it might cause damage to the ABS.

Then best to follow their advice. Especially if it.s still under warranty, they could use that against you

Not under original warranty, extended warranty yes. Discount tire said it would be fine because they are total diameter very very close, like you said.

It is 2002. I think 3/4 of inch it is not too much. I had done it in others car with no problem. Thank you! All.

Tested. Does not work. It is 2 in higher. Hit the body in the front when turn. Need to be like 1/2 in less.
