I need help.i put a head gasket and a new head and
all on my 2001 jeep cherokee sport ..
But now when it starts it revs up really high it acts
like I'm revving it up and not letting go off thr
pedal..its a 4.0 any suggestions

Check to see if you left any vacuum lines off or if they are broken.

That problem is usually a sign of a very large vacuum leak at the intake manifold. While reassembling things , you may have left off a vacuum hose or have a loose bolt on intake manifold. Check gaskets too but don't over torque that aluminum manifold.

Thanks I'm gonna take manifold off and check it and see if it.cizes the problem or not
