2004 escape pulling to left

Asked by Guru9D6JW5 Nov 16, 2020 at 07:11 PM about the 2004 Ford Escape XLT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2004 escape and while driving down the road normal speed, when
you start to accelerate it pulls to the left. Let off the gas it pulls to the right. have
checked motor mounts, etc., under front end. Any suggestions what else to
check? New tires, brakes

I'd be checking the alignment, its natural to pull 1 way or the other....the reason it seems to pull back when letting off the gas could be as simple as the power letting off, or it could be that the alignment is off in both directions

I would like to see how your tires are wearing. You might be out of alignment a bit [toe issue] ball joints would be the likely cause. Worn front shocks would do this too
