The temp control valve on my 06 durango does not change the air flow. How do I fix it, or is it expensive to have done?

If you are talking about air flow threw the vents, there is a blend door actuator module under the dash that runs around $65. Sometimes easy to get at sometimes not. Add labor cost if having someone do it for you.
