Asked by Ores Feb 04, 2016 at 10:58 PM about the 2012 Hyundai Tucson GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Hyundai Tucson 2012 and some time ago it begins to fail in start
some time when I make a short stop of 10 or 15 minutes after drive the car
for a while. When that happens the only way to make it start again is
moving the shift lever to the on both sides, the the car starts. Is weird
because is like if the shift lever was out of Park position and when  turn the
ignition switch in the START position nothing happens. I checked the
battery and is Ok

if the vehicle is automatic, it may not be going all the way in to park?? for you not be able to start it back up. or your clutch safety switch is bad or out of adjustment like Mark said. check that, next would be the started.
