I didn’t own one but a friend had a 2011 Sonata and it was garbage. A-arms rusted off and about killed his wife and daughter on the highway. His wife got off the highway to use the restroom and when she parked it, the whole front end collapsed to the ground. Auto Experts told them that had she stayed on the highway, it would have rolled possibly killing them. Car would never stay in tune. Overheated several times with less than 60K, 2 starters, crank sensor, an alternator, brakes had to be changed about every 15-18K. Valve cover gaskets, used 2 qts oil every 3,000 miles. Rubber air intake developed cracks in the bellows. Numerous times it wouldn’t start (more than normal and low miles). Utter junk!!! He asked me what car should he not buy when he was looking and I told him Hyundai and he bought one....he will never live that down. There is more but I have run out of digit allowability.
