radio music plays over incoming call

Asked by Sueboo777 Dec 20, 2016 at 05:55 PM about the 2012 Buick LaCrosse Leather FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an iPhone 6. The car has paired well with the car since purchasing new.
All of a sudden the radio plays over an incoming call. I can call out fine. I have
deleted device, locked car with key fob, deleted car from Bluetooth, turned
off Bluetooth and rebooted phone then paired device, nothing I have tried
works. Apple says it's a Buick issue, Buick has no clue

I'm having the same issue, I answer the phone from the car screen, but it plays the audio over my phone, it's driving me nuts because I set it up with my brothers phone, no change. It's definitely the car, I need help too

I have a 2013 Lacrosse and have been having the same problem. After trying to research it, I've discovered the iPhone 6 and 6s have upgraded to Bluetooth 4.2 which may not be totally compatible with the Intellilink system in my car. I'm taking it to the dealership today to see about upgrading the "firmware". I've attached notes on what I found out.

My wife told me she was having trouble with her car not answering calls from her cell phone, I disconnected the car battery and allowed the car to reboot itself hoping that would resolve our issue, but to no avail. I tried restarting her phone, and once again, to no avail. So as i prepared to take it to the dealership, I thought to try my cell phone and guess what the car answered my calls just fine. So to continue this troubleshooting technique I attempted it again with another phone that we have , and once again the car answered the call with a different phone, so it isn’t the car, but her individual phone that is having the problem. I hope this helps.

Second post, After all other attempts, I had to try my wife’s again, but before I do, let me try shutting her phone down completely, and allow it to shut down for approximately 20 minutes. I started her phone back up and took it back out to the car, made an attempt to pair it again and it connected, hit the button to place a call and it worked. This confirms that it was the phone the whole time. Again I hope this helps.
