the auto light feature is not working . what does it need

It needs to have it's daytime sensor unblocked...remove that suction cup or pull of that sticker or NUMBER one find out where the sensor is (usually on the rear view mirror)....perhaps an air freshener has disabled the "eye"~

In the 2013-16 Ford Fusion SE models, the Day Time running lamps will be forced on when the MyKey is active. The only way it can be shut off is with a second key.
