car is started but won't move

Asked by Youahmazeme96 Jan 07, 2017 at 07:27 AM about the 2007 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My fiancé called me on his way to the
military and said something went wrong
with the car. He said he was driving and
heard a loud pop and so he pulled into a
parking lot and then the car wouldn't
move. He says it's started but it won't
move. He also said there is oil all over
everything under the car as well. Do you
know what could have caused this
problem?

Engine oil? Trans fluid? Brake fluid? Considering no one here can see the car to determine what happened not sure what sort of answer you are looking for. This car is obviously bound for a shop, where I'm sure they'll give you a prognosis. Probably transaxle related but that is just a wild guess.
