300M Tranny Issue

Asked by erocki300 Oct 20, 2009 at 11:35 AM about the 2002 Chrysler 300M FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 300M.  The transmission is jumping into 2nd gear when at a stop and it will jump down from 4th gear into 2nd when coming to a stop.  It will only do this when you drive for at least 15-20 minutes.  Also the Autostick options will be zero'd out.  I am getting the P 0700 code.  I replaced the input/output sensors but didn't correct he problem.  Any thoughts?  Will a dirty transmission filter cause this type of issue or does it sound like more of a Solenoid Pack replacement?  Let me know if you can help...

i had the same problem with my 2002. there is a speed control inside the transmission that would need to be fixed. It cost me 1100 to fix.
