The new lock cylinder came with a new transponder key. The chip in the key needs to be programmed to the vehicle with special software. A mechanic or auto locksmith will have the tools to get your going.

^^ yeah this, you now have a key that the vehicle is not programmed to, so your immobilizer is kicking and in and killing the vehicle.
