red oil light

this red light will come on accosionally, it's not leaking oil--wondering if sensor is bad? or may need to be reset?

Yes if it does it hot or cold suspect bad sensor. If it only does it when hot you probably have low oil pressure. This could be due to worn bearings bad bypass or weak oil pump.
