Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can start the car but the headlights flash as I have a solid red blinking light on the dash and a oil light on.
I kno it needs oil change but what else coukd be wrong.

The oil could be so thin that the low oil pressure sensor is telling the ECU to shut down the engine. Or the car is in its death throes.
