I have a Ford F-150 King Ranch. I believe I have a wiring issue in the dashboard. Is this a common problem?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When the electrical indicators go out on the dash the radio and navigation do stay on, however the blinkers and a/c go out. If I tap on the top or bottom of the console it will come back on. We have done all we could, everything short of completely removing the dashboard console. Is this a common problem and how easy or difficult of a fix am I looking at?

Best, First step is scan all modules BCM for codes find a facility that has an IDS-VCM.. possible a harness has frayed or a ground is not grounding Oh, so common..C220B a slap can make a difference. Have it checked don't waste hours of your time. Regards

If tapping on an area usually makes it work your problem is going to be an electrical connector or ground wire. The only way to begin checking the connections is to access them.
