Improvements Accelerating

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 2010 F-150 Platinum has 116k miles. I just replaced five of the spark plugs
boots and spark plugs among other things as recommended by Ford for a
pretty penny. The smoothness of the acceleration is smoother, but sometimes
it feels like there's hesitation, like it's thinking about accelerating and then
decides to go. Could these be the fuel injectors and/or something else?

I know for a fact that your engine is not a 5 cylinder. Why not replace all the plugs and coils?
Well clearly - I was told the others did not need to be replaced. The five had cracks and were recommended to be changed out. The cost among other things was already $1300 so I wasn't about to spend more money on parts that didn't have to be replaced.
$1,300 for 5 plugs and coils? Your engine at 116k is way overdue for new plugs.
As I already stated, the cost was "among other things." The question I asked is whether there are other things that can be contributing to the hesitancy in acceleration.
As I already stated your truck is WAY overdue for replacement plugs if they have 116k on them. 3 bad plugs would make your truck run like sh*t. Saving a few dollars by not replacing 3 plugs and coils is foolish but it is your truck.
As I already stated for the third time, the three other plugs did NOT need to be replaced. They may have been replaced already since originally installed, and the Ford mechanics said only the five were bad and needed to be replaced. So again, I'm looking for ALTERNATE reasons the acceleration can be hesitating. Looking for someone else to answer here, thanks.
Given the work needed to take out the plugs on your truck the mechanics would have been idiots not to replace them. Good luck looking for alternatives. My guess is that your truck was coding a misfire on 5 cylinders and that they never looked at the plugs. You probably have pending misfires on the other ones. If 5 out of 8 plugs were bad do you really thing the other 3 are good?
