I rotated my tires (through non dealer) to my 2012 civic but the light still comes on:\

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got the tires rotated today at a local mechanic shop. The tire rotation indicator light still
comes on though. Any ideas on how to turn it off?

taken from a Honda forum: Actually, I find the headlight "on" lamp to be useful when I start out at dusk or dawn, since the instrument lights are always "on". To answer the OP's question. The tire rotation code is, I believe, timed to the oil change, so you can have everything done at once. The owner can only reset the entire maintainance minder, not individual items. Only a service center having the Honda diagnostic scanner can clear individual items from the maintainance minder (at least that's what the service manual tells me).
