Asked by Guru9QXCG3 Feb 02, 2023 at 09:08 PM about the 2012 Ford Mustang V6 Premium Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The oil pressure gauge on my Mustang gets

stuck on L or H. I replaced the oil pressure

sensor and it does the same thing. And the oil is

at the correct level. Any suggestions?

If the gauge sticks on high sometimes and on low at other times, it's likely you have a bad gauge. A mechanic can test the gauge.

Sounds like a bad gauge, they have a little servo motor that drives the needle and some times these motors go bad, they use to serviceable. A oil pressure sensor is not the same as an oil pressure sender.
