Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it possible I dont have an EGR valve even if computer threw a code
PO403 and PO406,  saying bad EGR valve? I have looked everywhere, all
the way around and under on the engine, every diagram a mechanics or
manual has given on 2.7 chrysler motors and I cant find one. Bought the
EGR valve that it says for my engine at autozone and they dont know either.
Cant find the info by VIN number either. ANYONE know and can help me. I
am installing a new PCV and IAT(intake air temp sensor) I found clogged
and bad. I also have another new TCM Im getting ready to install after
replacing it a year and 3 months ago because of same trans issues of
slamming into limp mode. Im hoping the PCV and IAT will fix the issues so
no need for new TCM. Possible the new NGC(pcm) caused the issues
thinking I have an EGR valve and I dont?

Do you have the old part number for your PCM you replaced? I am having the same issues after replacing my PCM. My vehicle does not have an EGR valve and it is throwing PO403, PO406 codes.

I have the same problem! My 2006 Chrysler Sebring convertible Limited 2.7 V6 does NOT have an EGR (a Chrysler expert pointed out the two port holes on the right side top of the engine, and each one is blocked by a Chrysler plate). However, my PCM is throwing EGR error messages and the CEL is on constantly, preventing me from getting the car smogged.
