2011 Corolla spare key won't start engine

I have two keys for my 2011 Corolla.  Each look identical, they have a
transponder fob.  The main key works fine.  The spare key opens locks and
when in ignition, it can start the electrical system but not the engine.  Has this
spare key somehow lost its program to the security system?  If so, how do I
reprogram it?  Thanks!

the dealer can program it , perhaps a magnet can ruin a transponder I don't know but that's what it sounds like
