Corolla cranking but won't start

There are lots of reasons why an engine will turn over but not start, and on a 23 year old car, there are all of them. If you can't figure this out with your diagnostic skills, have a mechanic look at it. He'll probably find the problem quickly.

When will people realize that in order for us to help them, they need to do some work to tell us exactly what the car does. We are not psychic or magicians. When I come looking for help I document my diagnostics so that I am asking a detailed question hoping for a good answer. I don't come in with " Why doesn't my car work?" and think everyone knows the problem.
