2011 VW jetta rad / condenser.

Asked by Rakkaus21 Dec 30, 2014 at 04:53 AM about the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I was driving to work today and a
racoon jumped infront of me on the
highway.  Went through the bottom
of my bumper and dicked my
condenser and rad unit along with
the fans behind it. Was curious if
anyone has an suggestions for parts
or any ideas approximately how
much it will cost to fix the rads, fans,
and bumper.  Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

well considering my car is a 2012 and it had an estimate for only 1light bumper and possibly a fender and it is on my car report for 5000$ something tells me it might be a bit costly. A new rad will run you up from 300-600$ condensor is about hte same bumper is dealer only type parts *unless you hit a wreckers* and 2 fans cost about 50$ for one and probly 120$ for the other and god knows what else needs to be replaced i would estimate that a body shop would do it for around 2-5000$ it all really depends on what you damaged and this kinda inpact can also do damage to engine components as well. If you can try and run it threw the insruance... if you got the racon in it still take a picture and show them. they will probly laugh at you and then fix it.
