With an OPEN rear end the non-drive wheel typically DOESN'T start to move/turn as easily as the drive wheel does. If the driver's side wheel turns EASILY by hand there is most likely no problem. If it is DIFFICULT to rotate by hand its almost certain that that brake is dragging for any of several reasons. If your parking brake still actuates both rear wheels, it may just be sticking on that side-not fully releasing. Most people completely ignore parking brake cables as a possible source of problems.
