SRS light on can I safely jump the car

Asked by Guru3BVL May 22, 2017 at 10:57 AM about the 2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

battery has been being  drained last 3 days, now SRS light came on last
night using spare key only, after days in garage car has not started.
Mechanic did diagnostic few days ago said I had low voltage problems -
said battery was good.  Car started and ran 2 days now car won't start at
all.  I think Fuse in SAM Module is bad or  is it seat belt module problem
also? Is it safe to jump start car?

Best to fully charge the battery outside the car, put back in and be sure voltage is 100%. After it starts, begin to track down error codes, if present. MB's are very finicky when it comes to low or insufficient voltage. Eliminate that first, then go step by step through other items. Good Luck
