Asked by Raj2002 Aug 24, 2015 at 09:47 PM about the 2002 BMW 3 Series 325i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Radiator shop replaced new radiator along with top and bottom hoses. After
replacement when I start car I got engine service signal. Radiator shop did not have
diagnostic meter to reset the computer. Auto parts store checked and found out that
the code is P1112 "Engine Coolant temperature radiator outlet   sensor high input".
How can I reset computer to delete alarm. I do not want buy new gadget but like to
know if any way I can reset compter myself.

1 Answer

Yes it is plugged in. You know how radiator shops are with minimum tools and may be most of them do not carry computer analyzer. I will try to ask radiator shop but if not what can I do. If I disconnect battery will it reset computer. I hate to buy the gadget unless I have to. Any recommendation which will do the job. I do not want to sepnd like professional.
