What does service traction mean

The TCS/StabiliTrak light comes on and the SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL message will be displayed in the DIC if there is a problem with the traction control system. -- I didn't see anything about different sized tires but it might be a cause.

My check engine/ traction control lights have been on for months. My car has been to 4 separate shops & even Cadillac dealer 4x. Every time they say its fixed the stupid light sure enough pops on again after like 20 miles. Last thing was a new BCM computer. More wasted $$. If i dont get it figured out soon wont pass inspection and will be useless. Any ideas??

My issue was ethanol in the gas. I switched to top tier fuel only based on dealer advise. And i haven't had the sensor or engine light come back on
