Toyota Camry Rear Ended- Damage to Trunk, Lock and lights
My car was parked near my house and some construction dumper while
backing off hit my car on the rear end and now my car truck is damaged,
lights broken and has severe dents and Trunk not closing.However I
wanted to know as how to turn off my dashboard lights.Its annoying.I have
camry LE 2011
Is it possible for someone tell me as how much will it cost to fix this. The
guy who hit me has self insurance and says that he will get it fixed. Should I
report this insurance company or settle it without reporting it to
insurance.My insurance premium are currently bit high and I am somewhat
thinking that it might go higher if I report this incident.
If you got the guys name and his insurance information, report the incident to your insurance company. Most people like that will never get your car fixed. If the vehicle that hit yours belongs to a construction company, then they have insurance. If this is just some privately owned truck that does odd jobs, he probably has no insurance and will never call you back. If you have his insurance info, your insurance company will go after his company to make sure it's fixed. Keep in mind, your insurance company does not want to pay. They will do the work for you in going after this guy. If he has no insurance, than they will most likely report him to the police for driving uninsured. The dash lights will turn off once the car is fixed. Don't mess with them. If the insurance company finds out that you got in there and messed things up, they may not pay to have things fixed properly. Just take a piece of black tape and put it over the idiot lights. Looks like you may have about $2500 worth of damage.

Maybe you could find Camry se 2010 and if trunk lid is not damaged just replace it.
