oil light does not come on

I have a Ford Ranger 3.0 TDCI  XLT 2010 model.I did a oil change and the oil
light does not come on at all.

Unplug the oil pressure sending switch and ground the wire. If the light now comes on, the pressure sending switch is bad. If not the bulb is burned out. Hope that helps! Jim
